Tuesday, November 7th at 8:15 PM, will be staged Don Quixote, the dance performance based on the famous novel by Miguel de Cervantes “El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha”
“Royal Opera House” is the title of the exhibition that will animate the spaces of Cinema Teatro 4 Mori from Tuesday, November 7th to Tuesday, June 11th with seven prestigious and artistically high-quality “cinematic events,” thanks to the collaboration with Nexo Digital, My Movies.it, and Trafalgar Releasing. The spectators will have the opportunity to attend a live broadcasting of the events taking place on the stage of one of the most important opera theaters in the world: the Royal Opera House in London. To open the festivities – it is indeed the case to say – a classic among the most well-known. On Tuesday, November 7th at 8:15 pm, “Don Chisciotte,” the dance performance based on the famous novel by Miguel de Cervantes “El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha,” will be staged by the internationally renowned dance company, the Royal Ballet. Rich in wit and highly effective choreography, this energetic 19th-century ballet is animated by Ludwig Minkus’s lively score and is a splendid showcase for the virtuosity of the first dancers of the famous group. Created specifically for the same ballet company a decade ago, Carlos Acosta’s exuberant production brings to life the sunniness and charm of Spain, with the characteristic designs by Tim Hatley. The cast, directed by Valery Ovsyanikov, is composed of Mayara Magri (Kitri) and Matthew Ball (Basilio). The words of the director Serena Cassarri: “The projection of the initiatives of the Royal Opera House is a dream that we have been working on for a long time. Being able to offer these gems to all the people of Livorno and beyond, even in a cinema mode, allows the possibility of coming into contact with events normally accessible to only a few, at a popular price. Don Chisciotte will be a test, but I am sure it will go very well. Already in these days, we can see on the Royal Ballet’s social channels, the first dancers telling anecdotes and behind-the-scenes of the show. An aspect that makes the wait even more magical.” For information and tickets: box office or www.cinema4mori.it. Full price 12 euros, reduced (dance schools, over 65, under 10, Coop members) 10 euros.
