28-29 October 2023 | 10:00-17:00 | Free entrance
Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 October, Fortezza Nuova hosts “La storia rivive in Fortezza”, the first in a series of events dedicated to the history of the city. Made possible by funding from the Pnrr for the enhancement of cultural and environmental heritage, the initiative involves the participation of White Company, the organizer of the Leghorn Medieval Festival, tasked with creating a special setup. Over the weekend, reenactors will tell the story of Livorno in the 14th century and the birth of the fortress in a magical atmosphere.
Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the free multimedia exhibition, which has been permanently dedicated to Bernardo Buontalenti since July. The exhibition is constructed through video projections and immersive environments in the arch room, the oven room, and the gallery. Curated by artistic director Niccolò Mazzantini and conceived by Proforma Videodesign, with the support of the Tuscany Region, the exhibition is part of the technological investments that have given rise to the Scuola Sì project, for students in the region and beyond.
