The cycle consists of six lessons that will take place on Saturday afternoons at the Auditorium of the Museum of Natural History of Via Roma, 234 in the Mediterranean. The meetings will feature alternating scholars and film critics who will address various topics, interspersing their lecture with the screening of film clips.
The seventh edition of the project “Lezioni di Cinema” will start on Saturday, October 7. This year, the project presents a series of eight events, which will conclude on Sunday, March 3.
Titled “La Storia, Le Storie”, this seventh edition of the Lezioni is organized in collaboration between 50&Più Università di Livorno, Centro Studi Commedia all’italiana, Erasmo Libri Editore, and the Circolo del Cinema Kinoglaz, all of which have been promoting film culture in the local area.
The cycle includes six lessons that will take place on Saturday afternoons at the Auditorium of the Museo di Storia Naturale del Mediterraneo, located at Via Roma 234. The sessions will feature alternating scholars and film critics who will discuss various topics, interspersing their lectures with screenings of film excerpts.
The third of these lessons will have two sessions (afternoon and evening) with multiple critics discussing the theme “Italian history from the Unification to the era of Berlusconism through films”.
Enthusiasts of the seventh art will have the opportunity to listen to eight speakers, each of whom will present a film related to Italian history, with each presentation lasting 30 minutes, creating a true Lezione Maratona.
Completing the series are two film screenings that will take place on Sunday afternoons at the Centro Artistico Grattacielo, located at Via del Platano 6, in collaboration with Circolo del Cinema Kinoglaz, who will present two films related to the theme of the edition. The films will be introduced by industry experts.
The cost of each individual lesson is €7.00 for adults and €5.00 for reduced tickets (for members of 50&Più, Centro Studi Commedia all’Italiana, and Circolo Kinoglaz, as well as young people up to 25 years old). The cost for the Lezione Maratona is €7.00 per session for the afternoon and €5.00 per session for the evening. The cumulative cost for both sessions is €10.00.
Students participating in the series of meetings will receive a certification to possibly earn school credits.
