In the heart of the Livorno Hills Natural Park, just 3 km from the sea, Tenuta Il Molino opens the doors of its winery for an authentic experience discovering wine, the land, and a deeply rooted family tradition.
The visit begins among the vineyards, set in a natural environment rich in biodiversity, characterized by small plots and steep slopes that make every stage of cultivation an example of heroic viticulture. Here, the estate’s production philosophy is explained: attentive, nature-respecting winemaking based on a meticulous grape selection, which allows the winery to avoid the use of corrective chemicals in the cellar.
The experience continues with a tour of the winery, where the entire production process is illustrated, from harvest to aging, along with the story of the estate itself. Its name derives from an ancient 19th-century mill, now in ruins, symbolizing the deep connection with the area’s rural past.
The experience concludes with a guided tasting of the estate’s wines, accompanied by a carefully selected assortment of local cured meats, cheeses, and typical products, enhanced by the estate’s own extra virgin olive oil. A sensory journey designed to highlight the flavors of the territory and to tell the story of each wine through the direct voice of its producers.
