Dive into a captivating e-bike tour, featuring pedal-assist mountain bikes, on a historical and cultural route that takes you through the alleys and historic monuments of Livorno. Our journey begins along Via del Limone, so named for the ancient aqueduct dating back to the 16th century. As you continue on a dirt road, you’ll reach Villa Corridi, an elegant noble residence owned by the Corridi family since the mid-19th century. After exploring the villa’s interiors, we’ll start our ascent towards the Sanctuary of Montenero, a renowned place of worship and pilgrimage destination from all over Italy. A visit to the sanctuary will be followed by a dirt path through the woods that will take us to the monument of Ciano, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the archipelago.

Our excursion will then descend towards Antignano, the southernmost area of Livorno. Following the seafront, we’ll head towards the city center, passing by iconic landmarks such as the Naval Academy, Terrazza Mascagni, and the Scoglio della Regina. We will then delve into the heart of the old Venezia district, characterized by its numerous canals and bridges reminiscent of Venice. Our path will lead us to explore the two Medici fortresses, the Old and the New, and after sailing through the alleys, we’ll arrive at the Mercato Centrale or “Mercato delle Vettovaglie,” inaugurated in 1893 and renowned for its culinary wealth. Here, we’ll take a short break and, if scheduled, enjoy a tasting session before resuming our ride along a bicycle path. We’ll pass by the Cisternone, a majestic structure built in the early 19th century for the city’s water supply, still partly in operation. Our tour will end with a passage in front of the Terme del Corallo, once among the first thermal establishments in Italy and Europe for elegance and variety of treatments, now undergoing restoration.
