Recreational snorkeling and freediving with Deep Instinct
Excursion along the stunning coastline of the Calafuria Nature Reserve, under the attentive guidance of qualified Deep Instinct instructors.
The activity includes exploring rocky seabeds rich in marine life, discovering the main native marine species of the Livorno sea.
For participants with certified freediving experience, it will be possible to organize recreational dives along the route.
Depending on the number of participants and sea-weather conditions, the excursion may take place from shore or by boat. Upon request, the activity can also be organized at the Secche della Meloria Marine Protected Area, one of the most important natural sites in the area.
For those with more time, the experience can be enhanced as follows:

Multiple sessions / full day on a boat

Introductory mini-course in freediving (breathing, relaxation, mental approach to apnea)

Introductory mini-course in fish watching / ethical spearfishing (marine biology basics, behavior and approach techniques for marine fauna)
Who: solo, couples, friends, families.
What: being active, relaxing, exploring the marine world, having fun.
When: the most suitable period for this activity is from May to September. Outside this timeframe, the activity may still be carried out in similar conditions if the weather allows.
Language: Italian, English
Participants: 2–4. With sufficient notice, we can accommodate larger groups.
Prices: from €75/person (~1.5 hours of activity)
Notes: basic water confidence is required to participate in snorkeling sessions (ability to float independently and basic swimming skills). To join recreational freediving sessions, a freediving certification and a medical certificate are required.
