This itinerary tells the story of elegant, international Livorno at the beginning of the 20th century, when the city established itself as a destination for leisure, wellness and high society. The Terme del Corallo complex becomes the common thread of a narrative that weaves together Liberty architecture, leisure culture and social rituals connected to water.
The route starts at Livorno Railway Station and gradually leads into the spa complex, passing through its most significant spaces. Each stop explores a different aspect of the Belle Époque: the concept of care and wellbeing, strolling through the gardens, the importance of aesthetics, and the role of waters and refreshment rooms as spaces for social interaction.
The final tasting of historic soft drinks and liqueurs represents the natural conclusion of the itinerary, offering a sensory synthesis of the historical and cultural narrative.
