Quercianella

The pearl of the Livorno cliff

A paradise 15 minutes from Livorno

Located about ten kilometers south of Livorno, in the heart of the Etruscan Coast, Quercianella is the southernmost part of the municipality. A small seaside village awarded the Blue Flag, little known but incredibly beautiful. Discovering it is a bit like putting an exclamation point on the beauty of the cliffs of Livorno.

Of probable Etruscan origins, it boasts a rich history, ranging from the extraction of sandstone in the Roman era to its more recent touristic vocation that, since the end of the 18th century, has made it one of the preferred seaside destinations for many bourgeois families. Among the numerous 19th-century villas, the austere Castle of Sonnino stands out, majestically perched on the promontory to the north of the town, and Villa Jana, a small neo-medieval castle that characterizes the village.

A beauty so natural it seems unaware

Among alleyways that descend to the sea, sudden openings, small rocky bays overlooking crystal-clear waters, Quercianella almost seems unaware of its own beauty. In reality, the locals jealously guard it, along with the breathtaking view of the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago and the lush greenery of pines, holm oaks, and oleanders that surround it.

Activities and relaxation in the middle of nature

If you are beach lovers, Quercianella offers a wide range of opportunities. Its beach establishments, not big but exclusive, are ideal for ensuring you a pleasant day at the beach devoted to relaxation. Its crystal-clear waters, on the other hand, await you to provide unforgettable snorkeling and diving experiences, revealing a rich underwater world to explore. Equally interesting is the network of trails in the green hills surrounding the area, which will offer you rejuvenating walks in nature through breathtaking landscapes, panoramic views, and pristine environments.

An ideal place to relax the mind, rest the body, and rejuvenate the spirit, Quercianella will captivate you not only with its natural charm but also with a varied and high-quality food and wine offering, giving you a vacation break that you will never forget.
