For five days, during the first week of August, the streets and canals of the neighborhood come alive with lights, colors, and handicraft and antique stalls. The evenings are embellished with an extraordinary variety of free shows, from rock music to street theater to dance performances, making every corner of the neighborhood lively and vibrant. The festival is not limited to operatic activity only, but offers a complete cultural experience, full of performances, concerts, and educational events.
Sailing and sea lovers, get ready to live an unforgettable experience during the International Sailing Week of the city of Livorno. An event that celebrates, in the month of April, the long sailing tradition of Livorno. The competition, which involves the Naval Academy and the city sailing clubs, was born in 1981 with the “Centennial Regatta” and has evolved over the years to become a fixed appointment for European sailors and beyond. Many classes are admitted to the extensive program of competitions, which also include the spectacular Naval Academy Regatta, one of the longest in the Mediterranean, a breathtaking route of over 600 miles.
Since 2023, the city of Livorno celebrates sport in all its forms with The Sport White Night. The event is organized by the Lem Foundation on behalf of the Municipality of Livorno, in collaboration with the Provincial Committee of CONI, which has involved all sports federations.
